The Conquest (Amara)
After the breach opened, the Amaranth military spent about a decade observing those in the alternate dimension. It was determined that their world had plenty of natural resources to sustain the population of Amara, and decided by Orion that, after sufficient observation of their military the conquest would commence.
Unlike Orion's mighty, unified empire with a vast army of magic-wielding demonic mortals, it was determined that this world used some other kind of magic that called "technology' by the scouts. Also, these technologies were highly destructive, able to demolish entire cities. Orion's magicians set about devising a way to counteract these technologies that used combustion. They succeeded.
Another interesting trait was that this world was not unified like Amara under a mighty ruler. Rather, they were still in some form of 'civil disagreement' the scouts reported, remaining separated from one another by language and borders. Their military was scattered and unfocused, with some displayed advanced tactics and using mighty weapons while others fought using low-grade weapons and guerrilla warfare. A few scouts from Amara vanished however, though apparently no alarms were sounded.
In the months before the invasion, the Amaranth forces slowly made their way across the massive ocean. Scouts had provided them with maps, and to conceal where their forces were emerging from they attacked Russia first, far from the Antarctic. Once the invasion began, the conquest was swift. Most of the European and Asian continents fell under control, with some pockets of strong resistance remaining. The North American, South American, and Australian continents are still largely safe. To prevent the Amaranth from traveling across the worlds quickly, most large transport boats were scuttled and airplanes had been sabotaged in these areas. However, the Amaranth are currently advancing into Africa and it is expected that the instability of the region will work to their advantage.
