Amara, the Lost Paradise

Amara is a beautiful war world-- the two typically don't blend together. This makes even less sense when you understand that the sole intelligent inhabitants are a vicious race of mortal demons. The Amaranth long ago hybridized with demons from beyond the dimensional barrier. While the offspring were not as powerful as the progenitors, they were every bit as base. They reveled in their own anarchy and chaos. Beyond that, they possessed extraordinary skill with magic. Technology in this world, from gunpowder to steam never came to be, because magic provided the shortcut to advancing society.

This meant that they never lost their savagery. Strength ruled their world, and eventually the Hundred Wars were waged. Out of the fires rose an army of great might, led by an ultra powerful Amaranth named Orion. Orion divided the world into seven districts, and named them for her generals.

With her power secure, Orion began to search for more conquests. She would not wait long. Soon after she had assumed control, a portal opened in her world. On the other side...? A whole new world to conquer. She spent years surveying the world, and preparing her forces for a new kind of war.
