The Void, Devoid || OOC Discussion
This is where we'll be discussing the topic in an OOC fashion.
In particular, I want to first bring up Ray Mitchell's introduction of his character; Ignorance.
I understand what the character is supposed to represent, but I don't understand how a character like that could survive for so long. Being ignorant is not the same as being stupid (which is his alignment).
One is the lack of intelligence, while the other is the lack of available knowledge.
I'd like some insight on Ray's thoughts when creating his character. Personally, I'm unsure if it's a realistic interpretation of a being that could SURVIVE, which is my main qualm. Insight would be much appreciated.

I am forced to agree. I don't doubt that a character could exist that is stupid, but an ancient entity of at least three-thousand years would have likely angered something with this behavior that would have outright killed it by now. It's immersion breaking because I'm having trouble suspending my disbelief.
Other than that, how are you all enjoying the topic so far?
Are you comfortable with your Sin Eaters?
I'm having a little difficulty with Pain, myself, and I feel like it's evident in my posts. It's hard to nail down his personality to acceptable standards.

My first post was difficult, but I've gotten the swing of things. I just needed someone to play off of, which Greed helped with immensely.
Personally, I'm interested in seeing how we all develop our Sins. I enjoy Sloth not defining himself with his name, because it allows him to be a 3 dimensional character.
Contrary to his name, he is ambitious. Fortunately, he isn't prideful and prefers to be efficient, which can seem as if he is being Slothful.

To be completely honest, I'm enjoying Paranoia, even if I've toned her down; instead shooting for a character that is silent, suspicious, albeit curious.
On another note; i found it was slightly more difficult than i thought it would be; but like i said, i might change paranoia; if only to tone her fears down; or think of a new angle...possibly >_<
AS FOR RAY....yeah....he really went for an ignorant character. :/

What I took away from Sin Eaters, since they're not the Seven Deadly Sins, they're not necessarily manifestations of the sin.
I assume they ENJOY the specific negative energy, therefore, they create it among those they hunt. Due to their familiarity with the negativity that they've seen destroy lives, I assumed they wouldn't fall victim to their own sin. In fact, that'd be the most ironic.
I'd imagine Paranoia would be the most trusting, when she found it appropriate, but would naturally be a skeptic. She might even have methods to see if someone would be lying to her.
The same is applicable to the other sins. I imagine Ignorance would BE ignorant, but would promote it within his prey. He'd promote sexism, racism, and etc, causing ignorance amongst society so he can feed. It wouldn't make sense, to me, for a sin to be so caught up in that ONE aspect of their life that they do nothing else. They'd destroy themselves, in that case.
But, I'd like to see other perspectives.

Indeed, and I had a thing like that in mind for paranoia, although I would like her to be a little less trusting, although loyal to those she DOES consider friend. I also want one of her problems being friend-food conflict, as she raised herself in a primarily human life.
Anyway, so what else are we about to be discussing?

well sloth you would be right about Iganorance (who is a she just to make clear) she does feed on others Iganorance and she does use her "skill" to make others her meal. but she is a bit disty and she is very forgetful not to menion she is actadent prone. but if there comes a need for me to change her then all i need is some help changeing her but still keeping her simialer to what she is now (sorry for all the miss types and miss spell typeing too fast)

Don't worry. We understand what you're trying to say, so it's fine.
It was most likely the execution that threw me off. Judging by the post, and the profile, it seems as if she can barely function as a human being...or is a joke character, which admittedly makes the topic feel less 'real'.
But, it may just be a personal issue. Unsure if the rest are affected in that way.

It feels like an anime gag, to be honest, and the reason that bugs me personally is because I feel you went straight for the gag before really setting anything up. Like, if that gag had been part of the focus it would be better but instead it seems to be the whole focus. This make her seem really flat for me.
It may not be that you need to change the character, you may just need to better convey the character itself. Does that make sense?
