Structure of the Omniverse
The Omniverse is massive, all-encompassing existence that all things and places exist within (the Void and various pocket dimensions are exceptions to this). The make up of the Omniverse is surprisingly simple when broken down into three levels. To restate, encompassing it all is the Omniverse.
Dimensions are the smallest level of structure within the Omniverse. They contain within themselves an infinite number of planets and galaxies. There are two types: living and dead. A living dimension is defined as such because of an inherent amount of structure within the world, such as physical structures existing or in other words, a living dimension is called such because it is in order. A dead dimension is simply a pocket of pure, formless energy, and thus is in a state of chaos.
Universes consist of clusters of tangentially related dimensions bound together in a metaphysical group. As a whole, there is only one type of Universe, as a universe is defined as it is described: simply a cluster of related dimensions. There a region that would Qualify as a dead Universe called "The Black", but it is singular in it's existence. Usually, the dimensions in a Universe have an easily graspable amount of data shared between the inhabitants sparks, meaning that mortals traveling between them find the people relatively easy to comprehend. Travelling between Universes, unlike dimensions, has variable and severe physical effects on corporeal beings as the data "shifts" into a form compatible with that universe. While the change is usually instant, it can be both painful and traumatic.
Multiverses are groups of Universes that have a close connection with one another. Usually, the universes in a Multiverse mirror one-another in specific ways without having an incredible amount of overlap. Like Universes, travelling between them requires a significant amount of formatting, however whereas a person is likely to survive crossing into another Universe almost no mortal beings have every survived the journey beyond a Multiverse without immense interference from the outside.
