Time-Travel

Where Space is a tangled mass of planes, rules, and implications, Time is best seen as an endless ocean of possibility.

It is literally impossible to travel into the Distant Future. At best, a person can jump a few minutes ahead into the timeline. As for psychics who "see" the future-- they are usually reading the most likely possible outcome of actions already taken. The future, because of its fluidity, doesn't exist yet.

The past is another matter. Despite being a great ocean, Time is extremely cyclical. If a person travels to a certain time in the past, they've already been there even if history did not record them. In this respect, history can not be changed, because the people who traveled into the past made history in the first place.

In order to go backwards in time, a person needs to have an understanding of the fundamentals of time on a cosmic scale, the power to create such an unparalleled breach, the power to maintain such a breach, and an exact understanding of where they are going in time.
