This thread is a place to consolidate all the various quotes we hear in the various media we partake of. I feel that more or less, sharing these quotes helps build philosophy which can translate to growth when applied to our characters.

That is why we cling to life, living between earth and sky. Why we fight to the end. To gorge ourselves on an easy life of endless dreams is to forget our animal nature. The measure of a human life is not counted in years. It's in what we leave behind in death.
