New Universe idea: Chimaera, where nature is your friend :3

Three hundred and fifty years have passed since humans first settled the Balkan star system, located approximately 150 light years from Earth, where a number of planets have been terra-formed to resemble Earth. A secret planet used as a penal colony where day and night last 181 days each and the planet is marked by extreme weather patterns. Plants dominate the planet's ecosystem. Their varied defensive adaptions as well as carnivorous varieties are a constant hazard to the people of Chimaera. 

The violent seasonal bloom of muses, where the plants erupt from deep below the surface to spread their canopies to the sun, are the main source of water for Chimaerans; most of the water lies deep in the planet's crust. Sap from a Calypto plant is highly useful, but harvesting it is dangerous. The Calypto sap erupts from punctures and inhalation can cause death. Of all the plants a Verasoma is the most ferocious and formidable, a mobile carnivorous plant. It usually attacks from underground keeping its small weak point well away from any threat. Even when mortally wounded its death throes are likely to kill anything around it.

Women make up only 20% of the population, they are considered extremely special, live apart from men, and are the ones who get to choose their partners during the "Mating Month" which is held once a year just before the day turns to night, a chosen mate is generally not allowed to refuse. Each year a women may chose a different man for the Mating Month. Killing or miss treating women is highly frowned upon. In fact women can even waltz into other rings without fear of being killed for trespassing and in fact are treated as special guests. Men’s lives have been saved by timely entrance of a woman choosing a male as their husband. Unlike its overseeing planet births are done naturally here not artificially.

The Planet was separated from its overseeing planet after the global elevator which connected two, The dagger pagoda was destroyed. The society of Chimera is overseen by the 4 rings, the Ochre, Sun, Blanc, and Dawn rings which separate people by their skin color. The man by the name of Thor Freed and saved the planet from its destruction. The planet is still pretty far behind in technology that of its former overseers.

Ochre ring is built into the side of a mountain whos outer lying area is a marsh that explodes with Muses when they sprout drastically changing its landscape. A daily fog covers the town in the early morning hours. Those who live here look like tanned white people.

Sun Ring is located in a tropical plain which experiences harsh rainfall all year long but the water never stays as a lot of the water gets seeped into due soil and down the he center of the planet with the Muses. Those who live in this ring are considered a different shade of tan than those from the Ochre ring

Blanc ring is located in the northern arctic part of the planet, where the sun rarely shines to begin with. The temperature never reaches above 40 degrees Fahrenheit. The cold has not stopped the plant life from being deadly it probably makes it more deadly as the plant's vines and branches are covered with rigid ice, they are drawn to sources of heat but move slower than the rest of the plants on the planet. The people of this ring are snow white in color. The original inhabitants actually were black but due to the lack of light their skin evolved to change color to the whitest in the world so that their bodies could soak up as much of the sun’s rays as possible to get that much needed vitamin D. 

Dawn Ring is the most peaceful of the rings set in a dense luscious forest, surprisingly for its location it sees very little carnivorous plants in its area, the inhabitants have used this knowledge to build various tree houses settlements within their capital city. These people are white. Not as white as the Blanc ring but not as dark as the sun ring.

Each ring is ruled by a top who basically has all say over everyone within that ring. Each ring also has a 2nd and a 3rd who are chosen by the top. The 2nd and 3rd also hold lots of power in the ring. Each ring has 2 tops 2nds and 3rds 1 of each for the males and 1 of each for the females. In rare cases females may come over to the male side in order to be 2nds This only happens when the top is married and even then it is rare.

A note on the racism. For starts the entire planet is raciest in the first place. Next the reason there aren't any Africans/black folk is because the entire planet just isn't suitable for them and over time they would revert to white. Understand that in real life Africans live in dry very hot places to adapt their body turns dark which protects their skin from the sunlight. Chimaera is a planet ruled by plants which means lots of shade. If you are African and offended I apologize.

This is actually really well thought out. Although, there's a couple things such as, maybe, innate natural ability and technology that might need to be elaborated on, it can be included in the respective lore.

However, you've detailed the society very well, which is what's most important.
