Tower of Babel Empty Tower of Babel

Post by Cain Sat Jan 25, 2014 11:28 am

A massive tower constructed by the Earthlings in just six years out of their salvaged star ships, Babel is a few miles wide and stretches miles into the sky. It has no support beams designed to hold its massive weight up, instead relying on the anti-matter generators inside of the towers constantly providing power sources to hold it upright. While its interior mostly reflects a metal city, some of the massive floors are purely reflections of nature (though artificial in origin).

Each floor has artificial lights that simulate sunlight, and a false sky behind them that acts as a stand in for the real thing. Their air is recycled oxygen and while pure, feels stale on the lower floors while the higher floors see it much less so. Each floor has a port that allows it access to the outside, though getting down from the second floor and up is somewhat of the problem because of the height. There are Seventy-Five floors within Babel, and some of them are listed in another topic (note: the floors not covered there have not yet been defined by the member base).
