Living, Dead, and Pocket Dimensions

When the universe was created, something came to inhabit the space called The Void. Planes of existence where new sights and sensations could be found. Colors, stars, planets and life existed in these Dimensions thus their name: Living Dimensions. Some dimensions in the beginning never formed properly, or simply entered a state of entropy. These dimensions essentially "died" and became nearly uninhabitable pockets of shapeless energy called "Dead Dimensions". These are the primary two dimensions found in existence.

Living Dimensions all have common physical laws such as gravity and inertia. They are "in order" by universal standards. While the presence of life is what initially defined a Living Dimension, a Living Dimension is now indicated as one that has not succumbed to entropy. Entities born within a living dimension are all duplicates of other entities in other Living Dimensions. Despite any visual or genetic differences, these doubles are almost immediately able to be recognized by their own counterparts.

Dead Dimensions are all essentially seas of pure energy hidden behind the dimensional walls. A single Dead Dimension, if its energy were harnessed by a living being, could grant them Nearly Absolute Existence within a material world though the power would be meaningless in the void. The physical laws within a Dead Dimension are constantly in flux with sudden changes in pressure, force, and temperature being a few of the things affected. This is why these worlds are nearly uninhabitable.

A third type of plane called a Pocket Dimension is created when an entity of sufficient power creates an area free of outside influence in which they demonstrate qualities of Nearly Absolute Will. This phenomenon can be created either in The Void or a Living Dimension, and rarely can be found in artificial conditions such as Computer Programs. They are usually no larger than a planet or a defined "world" to prevent destabilization.
