Summary
At random (and extremely rare) times within the Amaranth population, a child is born that has more power than normal for an Amaranth due to a greater amount of demon blood. These Amaranth are several times more powerful than a normal Amaranth, thus earning the designation "Greater". Giving birth to one is considered a high honor in the culture.
