Crucis, the Undersea Dystopia Empty Crucis, the Undersea Dystopia

Crucis is the largest section of Radix. An underwater city that spans the entire sea surrounding Radix, the buildings beneath are connected to each other with glass walkways and reinforced with various metals and minerals. The buildings seldom have any glass to prevent structural weak points, and the only entrances to the city itself are found in Rustici's underground caverns. The architecture of the city consists of large, durable mega-structures that rise from beneath the waves, containing within themselves business and homes. Within these mega-structures are a massive system of grates, drains, and beveled surfaces that direct any leakage back towards the ocean. In particular, every sidewalk is grated.

The city, though, is in a constant state of chaos and disarray. So far from the surface little light or sanity penetrates the people's hearts, and Crucis is the most dangerous area in Radix. The streets are littered with blood stains, debris, and graffiti. The only thing consistently cleaned up are the bodies.

There are a diverse swath of psychopaths here, though there are normal people too just trying to survive. Harvesting the sea's bounty requires intelligence and the Consul of Crucis is more than willing to pay for the stock of enterprising fishermen, though he offers them little in the way of protection from the masses.

The economy, save for the fishing, is virtually non-existent among people whose only interest is blood shed. In fact, the Consul has taken advantage of this, utilizing the people's madness in lucrative respects and even to develop drugs that alter the genes of users temporarily and lend them incredible powers. This however breeds addiction, and the effects of withdrawal have proven to be brutal.
