Rustici, the Farmer's Section Empty Rustici, the Farmer's Section

Rustici is the second largest district of Radix. Consisting of two different levels, the most commonly seen part of the city rests above ground. Hear the architecture looks like a simple village, with medieval design for its rather small area. What the small city on the surface doesn't take up, however, the crops do. There are literally tons of crops harvested every day from Rustici's fields. The ambient magic and the fertile soil in this area specifically ensure that most plants grow to bear fruit within a day or two.

Beneath that city is another, larger city located underground. A massive labyrinth with houses and buildings built within walls of solid rock, this is the true face of Rustici. The tunnels and gores stretch on for miles, and without a native travelling with them, a person here will likely be lost.

The maintenance of both the upper and lower levels are left to the citizens of Rustici. The consul has busied himself with ensuring they ship the proper amount of food to the various section on time daily. While its not a perfect equilibrium, Rustici's citizens manage to keep the city presentable.

The people here respect hard work above all else. They have the capacity to get along with just about any creed, race, or income bracket as long as they believe that they're capable of hard work. They look down upon the lazy, and frown upon the weak (though weakness is something they feel can be fixed). The people here are fairly non-materialistic.

Rustici, despite how much crop it manages to produce and sell, is not a rich area. In fact, the Consul and citizens agreed that they should only sell the crops for slightly more than they cost to produce so that their food is cheaper for the poorer to buy. They use the little extra money they make to buy new farming equipment.

Rustici's upper level is the size of a Medieval village though its design is complex. The lower level is a sprawling labyrinth that stretches for dozens of miles, leading directly into Crucis at several points.
